The Church meets weekly on Sunday’s. The scripture admonishes us to hold fast to that which is true by testing a matter (1 John 4:1). It’s in this spirit that we offer the following. We believe in New Covenant Theology (Hebrews 8:6-13; 12:24), the Doctrine of Grace (Ephesians 1:7; 2:4-10; 2 Corinthians 13:14), the Necessity and Work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer (John 16:5-15; Acts 13:2-4) and the Inerrancy and Sufficiency of the Scriptures found in the Old and New Testament (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). We have supported the following teachings and patterns, which we practice to this day. 1. We believe the Apostles established a pattern of meeting in homes (1 Corinthians 16:5; Colossians 4:15). 2. That the word “Church” describes the assembly of Gods people not a building. That we should be the Church, not go to Church. That the Church belongs to Jesus Christ, not men and that He alone is building it for His pleasure (Acts 20:28; Ephesians 2:19-22). 3. That the Church is to meet on the Lords day to participate weekly in the Lords Supper as a meal (1 Corinthians 11:17-34). 4. That Church meetings should be an interactive time of singing praises to God, praying to God, waiting on the Lord, with men teaching, exhorting, comforting and edifying the Church with Gods truths found in the Scriptures in a decent and orderly manner. Not led or dominated by one man (1 Corinthians 14:26-40; Ephesians 5:18-21; Acts 20:17; 1 Peter 4:11; 3 John 1:9-10). We believe in a plurality of elders to support the purity of the Church, allegiance to the word of God and Christ Himself, yet without lording over people (Titus 1:5-9; Matthew 20:25-28). The Ladies do not hold position of elders in the Church and do not teach during the interactive time of the meeting (1 Timothy 2:11-15; 1 Corinthians 14:29-37). We meet on Sunday afternoon. Whoever hosts the Church in their home, normally schedules the meeting time, which normally begins at 1:00 pm. The meal is a potluck but no one should be left out if they cannot bring a meal. There is flexibility in all this. Our gatherings are about Jesus, His Word and His Church. So much more could be said. However, we invite you to email us or contact us by phone, if you would like to meet in this way, simply desire more information or would like to take part in a study of New Testament Church patterns and practices. Finally, however you meet, we pray that the Scriptures would be your foundation for faith and practice, and that the Holy Spirit is blessing your life as you draw closer to God’s Son and His Church (Romans 15:4; Matthew 15:3-9; 2 Corinthians 3:4-6; 1 John 4:7-11)
